Changing lives, one game at a time.

We use football to help children learn, grow, and thrive — on and off the pitch.

Children in Uganda's Slums face real challenges.

Our vision is a world where every child thrives to their full potential through play.

Our mission is to transform lives through football, using the power of play to improve health, education, and opportunity for Uganda’s underserved children. As a youth-led, sport-for-development organisation, we create safe spaces where children can learn, grow, and build brighter futures - one game at a time.

Why We Exist

At Watoto Wasoka, we believe every child deserves a safe space to play, learn, and grow. Through football, we teach, support physical and mental health, and nurture youth leadership — in schools, slums, and communities across Uganda. Our programs are football-based, play-led, and peer-driven — designed by and for the children we serve.

Yet one thing brings them together: football.

At Watoto Wasoka, we meet children where they are — on the pitch — and use the game they love to spark learning, resilience, and inclusion. Football isn’t just what we do. It’s how we teach, how we heal, and how we grow — together.

Our Approach

Football is our classroom. Play is our method. Children are our leaders.

Our Programme Pillars

We deliver football-led programs that combine play, learning, health, and leadership across three pillars:

Play to Learn (P2L)

Play-based literacy, numeracy, and re-engagement programs for in- and out-of-school children.

Play for Health (P4H)

Football-powered health and mental well-being, led by peers.

Play for All (P4A)

Inclusive football programs that promote gender equality and youth development.
