2018 Primary Schools League finale

This year’s season of the Primary Schools League was the biggest yet.

Started in March 2018, we welcomed 21 schools in the boys’ category. Coming through from Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Luwero and Nakaseke, these were drawn into 6 groups. They played out on a home and away basis from March and April. In June and July we had the knock out rounds – from the round of 16s until the semi-finals, also played on home and way basis.

We also had 5 schools/teams in the girls edition, the second of its kind. We had the best two teams from the gala qualify for the finals.

We were then ready for the grand finale of our 2018 season. On Saturday 4th August, 2018, we organised the finals at St. Bruno Primary School, Kasenge. We were joined by the coaches and teachers from the league as well as hundreds of residents from Kasenge.

We had a great day with all the games and also Football 4 WASH workshops in between the finals. As always, each of the 26 schools/teams that took part won footballs and a certificate. Also, the outstanding performers were equally awarded. Each of the four finalist teams each received jerseys, courtesy of Watoto Wasoka.

Congratulations to all the winners from the finals of the 2018 Primary Schools League, especially to Rays of Grace Primary School from Njeru and St. Noa Primary School from Zana.
